Henry Dinardo
Chef / Proprietor

Distinguished for his talent and creativity on the national food scene, Chef-proprietor Henry Dinardo has earned the honor as one of the Top 25 Chefs in America by Food & Wine Magazine after he founded the nationally acclaimed restaurant, Windows, in 1985.  Windows Catering was established in 1987 in order to meet the growing demand for high-quality special events and corporate catering in Washington D.C.

Chef Dinardo, who oversees the company’s kitchen and operations has cooked for many celebrities, athletes and public figures including Presidents Reagan and Clinton, Former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Placido Domingo, Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, Paul Simon, Julio Inglesias, and the Washington Redskins. A rare feat, even among DC caterers, Chef Dinardo has prepared marvelous meals for presidential inaugurations for three decades.

Chef Dinardo has also made several television appearances that include the Today Show and local Washington news stations. He has seen his culinary masterpieces at Windows Catering grace the covers of 6 national magazines. Not to mention Chef Dinardo has also had countless features in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Northern Virginia Magazine, DC Magazine, Washingtonian Bride& Groom, Catering Magazine, Biz Bash, Special Events, and Catersource.

Carol Bloom Dinardo
Proprietor

A former public relations executive at The Watergate Hotel, Carol Bloom Dinardo is a co-founder of Windows Catering.  Since 1985, Carol has been a vital force behind the company’s success, maintaining its national reputation for exceptional food, presentation, outstanding service and strong community involvement.  Whether it’s teaming with a bottled water supplier to provide refreshments at a charity race, joining other groups to improve Washington D.C., or donating meals to the food bank, Carol always leads Windows Catering to consistently contribute to the community.

Andrew Gerstel
CEO

For the past 27 years, Andrew has held management and executive level positions in sales, marketing and operations roles in the hospitality and technology industries. In 1995, Andrew joined Windows as an independent contractor and consultant to the company.  In 2002, he joined the company full-time and for the past 17 years has been responsible for the day-to-day operations. Andrew’s primary responsibilities include managing the sales, marketing, business development and staffing departments, as well as the administrative and operational functions, which include accounting, human resources and delivery.

Pasquale Ingenito
Corporate Executive Chef

Chef Ingenito is a true culinary artist – passionate, eclectic, well-trained and innovative. Attuned to the changing tastes and trends in food, presentation and molecular gastronomy, Chef Ingenito continually updates Windows’ offerings with a variety of delicacies.  Seasonal offerings range from modern twists on classic American cuisine to the most avante garde ethnic and fusion menus.  With over 30 years experience, Chef Ingenito leads Windows’ state of the art kitchen with a demanding palette and keen sense of presentation.  Chef Ingenito was formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and has been Windows’ Executive Chef for over 14 years. His client list includes celebrities such as Billy Joel, Julio Eqlesias, Pavarotti, Jack Nicklaus, Tony Bennett, and Frank and Nancy Sinatra. His political clients include Margaret Thatcher, Prince Charles, Nancy Reagan, President George Bush Sr., President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton and many more.

Amadou Kane
Pastry Chef

With professional experience of more than 26 years, Pastry Chef Amadou Kane started his pastry career working for The Bread Oven, in Washington D.C. in 1981. In 1985, Chef Kane joined Chef Dinardo as a baker at Windows Restaurant. He has been with the company ever since.
