It’s lovely to see Jessica and Nicholas’ wedding featured in Washingtonian Bride&Groom. Their wedding took place on a beautiful day in May at Glenview Mansion. Windows event coordinator Nicole Buchanan worked closely with Jessica Brown of Simply Chic Events to create a causal yet elegant affair. From a unique Arnold Palmer station at cocktail hour to a bountiful dessert buffet the details that went into Jessica’s and Nicholas’ wedding are all captured by Terra Dawn Photography.
From mint julep’s to white chocolate and blueberry striped parfaits – a special dinner held at the National Building Museum for a client looking to create the atmosphere of a Great Gastsby themed evening.
For dinner guests enjoyed a Maine lobster martini on a mosaic of marinated vegetables, with iced vodka vinaigrette along with a main course of
Pan-Roasted Native Rockfish with Chive Butter and Brioche-Crusted Lamb Chop served on a Mediterranean sauce of chopped tomatoes, onions, black olives and capers accompanied by Arugula risotto cakes, garlic spinach timbal and golden squash batons. As if the evening was not sweet enough guests were greeted with Mint Julep’s and Bellini’s as they approached the abundant dessert buffet with treats like whoopie pies, streusel bars, Ivory mousse and miniature cake bites

Over 800 guests attended this inspirational evening of dinner, dancing, an exciting live auction, and an after-hours lounge and dance party. Windows Catering Company was thrilled to be a part of such a fantastic cause for many children in need.
